Informed financial consent and prepayment service

Time permitting, My Anaesthetic Billing will contact patients on your behalf to obtain a signed Informed Financial Consent (IFC) form. Alternatively, we can provide patients with a verbal estimate of fees for their procedure. During this process we are also able to obtain prepayment of total fees or out of pocket fees from patients.

Invoice Processing

The billing process at My Anaesthetic Billing runs in the following manner.

Anaesthetists provide us with a theatre list as soon as practicable. If there is sufficient time, we would then call patients and inform them of any out of pocket amounts they would be asked to pay. For pre-payment accounts, we would also request that they pay this amount prior to the date of their procedure. We can also send them an informed financial consent form for signing at this stage either via post or email.

After the procedure date, Anaesthetists send us final patient details along with any details we need to know to prepare invoices. These include start and finish times, any modifiers, ASA ratings.

We would then prepare the bills and send to the health fund(s) and patients for payments.
